Working with Steven Khawam from the outset was a pleasure in what is really not a nice situation. My mother passed away and as executor I was charged with selling the family home. To add to this I am in Western Australia so 4000 km away. You really rely intensely on your agent in these situations. Steven demonstrated great knowledge of the market in Guildford with personal knowledge of nearby residents and potential buyers. This was reflected in the number of inquiries received and ultimately in the number of bidders. Nothing was a hassle for Steven at any time of the day and he would go the extra mile to help me out. Including contacts of potential helpers for getting the house ready for sale. His recommendations for how to prepare, present and market mum's house were spot on, and he delivered these in an easy to understand and professional manner. Steven delivered information to me in a perfect amount. Not too little but just as importantly not too much. The correct balance of information was critical given my distance. It really enhanced the trust I had in him to do the right thing in the sale for myself and my mum. In what was a challenging market, Steven had to manage my expectations and ensure that I was was not ever expecting on the value returned. This was done excellently and professional in a manner that set me at ease. In the end his work in getting the number of bidders at the auction meant that we achieved a value that was above expectation given the market position. I credit this to him.
