Just a preface for the review: before Manor gave me this survey they asked me how I felt about Manor on a phone call, and then only after the phone call sent a review link. I believe if I said they were doing terribly on the call, they would not have given me the link to this survey, so take that into account when you look at this suspiciously negative review in the sea of positive reviews. We hired them to take care of a house but they have been extremely negligent. Over 6 months of renting, they haven't organised any type of property inspection. Our tenant called them about it and they didn't even respond. We asked them to take care of the pool and hedges of the property and they did nothing and expected us to organise everything when the tenants complained the hedges were too large, even though there was meant to be regular maintenance. The worst part is our tenants were trying to get through to them about adding safety to fencing so their dog wouldn't run away (and we were completely fine with it if we had been asked) and they didn't answer over 10 calls (during regular business hours). Our tenant's dog then managed to run away and was killed by a car. We only found out when we picked up mail from the property and our tenants told us. As a dog owner myself I couldn't imagine the distress my tenant has felt. Honestly would say you're better off doing it yourself. If you think it will be too much work I would advise that you go with anyone else because Manor's fees are exceptionally high and you're highly likely to get better property managers than them. Another thing worth noting for first time landlords, the people you talk to the first time and the ones who organise the contracts and open home, and pretty much anyone involved before you sign your contract will not be your property managers. You don't actually talk to the property manager and find out until you've signed the contract. So I would be wary of what they say before you sign your contract.
