I am pleased to share some of the reasons that made me happy to have chosen Russell and his team to sell this unit. On the first meeting we were offered Matthews best commission rate and advice on extras such as advertising and signage. With a long history of working and living in the area as well as being in a very prominent position I was sure that they would have great knowledge of values of units as well as also being involved in the local community. Matthews would also have built up a large number of loyal customers who often buy again in or close to the same suburb. The whole time I felt that Russell was working for me and was always available to answer any concerns and would offer to make any changes, but I stuck with his best advice from experience and it paid off. The acceptable price was reached very quickly with Russell managing to bring the buyer up to that figure with his expertise. Even though it was a smaller sale Russell and his team managed to not only do the required open days, but also fitted in with appointment times with prospective buyers. It was a real pleasure to deal with an someone who was all the things so many agents are not. Russell was genuine, reliable and down to earth. He was never cagey nor did he try to exaggerate or omit things when he showed us the property, what we got was simply skillful salesmanship delivered with an agreeable and approachable attitude. His knowledge and expertise on the local area and the industry was clear in all our interactions and he was always happy to answer questions. If you want an agent that is ethical, motivated and just generally really great at what they do, I honestly doubt you'll ever find better. I'd also add that the staff at Matthew's clearly all work to the same high standard - we dealt with a number of other people at the office who were all friendly and helpful - whenever we went into the agency it had a refreshingly positive and bustling vibe. Russell Matthews was such a pleasure to work with. He discussed a number of marketing options with us and took the time to explain carefully what would happen and what we could expect. Russell was very up front with regard to costs for advertising and commission, which was less than some other agents. Russell Matthews was on point with his knowledge of the area and went over and above his job description when his sellers and as it turned out, buyers were both from out of town.
