Jack is young and enthusiastic with an easy-going manner. Jack will claim that he got a sale for me but, in fact, I got a sale for him. The eventual buyer rang me not long after I had signed with Jack and I passed contact on to Fitzgeralds as my exclusive agent. The “buyer” wanted a very extended settlement period so I asked Jack to keep marketing the property. There were several aspects of the marketing that I found below the standard that I have come to expect from agents in Sydney. * It was about two weeks after I signed up with Fitzgeralds before advertising signs were erected. When they appeared, the photograph was unappealing and there was only one sign. This was erected in such a way that passing motorists would not notice it. * There seemed to be limited follow-up on some of the contacts. It seemed that Jack thought that he had a buyer and was not doing much to cover for the eventuality of that sale falling through. * Poor communication - Jack needs a mentor from a high-pressure Sydney agency. *High commission rate (2.7% while agents charge as low as 1.6% in Sydney for properties of similar value). In the week leading up to settlement, I expected that Jack would organise a pre-settlement inspection and advise me what needed to be removed. It worked out well in the end and Jack helped move a heavy TV. His "present" to me, body wash and hand cream, was inappropriate for a single male.

After much searching online for a new home, I found several houses that Josh was the agent for. I gave Josh a call, and discussed what type of house would suit my needs. Josh contacted a couple of the vendors and arranged a mutually convenient time for me to have an inspection. I found Josh's communication to be timely and my calls were always returned promptly, if I required further information, Josh found out and informed me of the result. He has been extremely helpful throughout the whole process and I look forward to moving into my new home.
