This is the third time Morrissey Property (Trenton) has sold a property for me and/or my extended family. Based on my first contact with Trenton concerning the sale of my Bruce, ACT property, I had no hesitation in recommending him to my daughter and son-in-law for the sale of their home in Flynn, ACT, and the recent sale of my father's home in Hackett, ACT. Although the sale of my Bruce property became somewhat problematic with a difficult tenant, which Trenton managed magnificently, the other two sales were completed in record time (both in less than a week from the listing date) and both attained above market prices. Speaking for my family and I, we couldn't be happier with the service we received. Communication with Trenton was exceptional and he is a pleasure to do business with. Trenton is a true professional and is in my opinion the contradiction to the usual perception of Real Estate agents.

First of all let me say that this is a genuine review and not a put up. From the moment I met the Morrissey team, made up of Mr and Mrs, I liked them. It helped that I was selling them the idea of buying spots in the joint advertising of the businesses at Yerrabi Pond, Gungahlin's greatest undiscovered secret. By the time our Yerrabi Ponds advertising negotiations were complete I knew Trenton was the guy I would want to sell my properties. It was his attention to detail, punctuality and the fact that that he returned every phone call and email promptly that won me over. Remember, at this stage I was trying to sell HIM something! Not long after the Yerrabi Pond advertising negotiations were mutually successfully completed Beth and I had reason to sell our Braddon apartment. Without hesitation we engaged Morrissey Property. Trenton was open and honest with his appraisal of the realistic price we could expect. He identified the "tyre kickers" who normally would have got our hopes up and kept us focused on the real players. He kept the sales momentum going while keeping a tight rein on the sales budget, he was innovative in the copy for the advertisements and maintained a positive attitude throughout the whole process. I like Trenton's sense of humour and perspective. Needless to say the sale was successful, on the expected price and well within the sales budget. A nice bloke and a hard worker who never stops. Trenton comes highly recommended from us following the very successful sale of our property. We interviewed four agents and while all presented well, Trenton just had an extra factor that gave us confidence in his ability. His communication was fantastic and is one of his best attributes. We were kept up to date with every detail throughout the sale process and this meant we were relaxed and confident of a positive result. His attention to detail following each open home was above and beyond our expectations. This was refreshing and incredibly valuable. Another service we appreciated was the fact Trenton takes the time before and after an open home to ensure the property is looking it's best and to facilitate any early or late potential buyers. When we have purchased we saw the occasional agent arrive the minute the open home time slot starts and/or begin to pack up a couple of minutes before the time slot finishes. Trenton was helpful and professional throughout the purchase process. In particular, though I was not formally his client he put much effort into keeping me informed of developments and providing useful advice and support. From these perspectives, I would be very happy to recommend him to others as an agent who was good to work with and efficient and effective. Having said that, there are a couple of things I was (and am) not happy about in relation to my purchase of the property. First, I found on the day of settlement (when it was too late to respond without derailing or delaying the whole deal) that a lot of unwelcome material had been left behind in and outside the garage/shed that I had been assured would be removed before settlement. This included old cans of paint, bits of corrugated iron, old fencing materials etc which are basically rubbish and should have been previously disposed of by the vendors. Second, as I have already mentioned to Trenton, I subsequently discovered on the far side of the shed that a considerable quantity of presumably engine oil had been dumped, presumably by a former resident. This produces a foul smell and I am concerned about the possible effects on the neighbours on that side. I should have been clearly informed of this issue. This could appropriately be referred to government environmental authorities for advice on the possible health and environmental implications and whether remediation is required and, if so, how this should be done. In both of these cases, I was deceived or at least not properly informed.
