We spoke to all the large agencies when we were looking to sell and we went with David because he was the only agent that listened to our objectives and then clearly laid out all the options for running a sales process to meet our objectives (all the other agents simply wanted to make a quick sale by taking us straight to auction). As part of the selection process I also spoke to many of his referees and was very impressed by the feedback, in particular that David was a strong negotiator and would always act in our best interests. As the principal of his own business we also felt that he would give us more attention than the larger agencies and we were proven correct. David designed and ran a sale process which achieved a price well above our price expectations and I would highly recommend David to any potential sellers without reservation.

People who know David or have worked with him before, won't ever go anywhere else - and for good reason too. David is trustworthy, honest, up-front, hard-working, knowledgeable and experienced. There's no game playing with David, there's no pressure to fold and accept the first offer to make his life easier; he tells you how it is and then provides the pros and cons for every strategic move forward. He is agile and flexible, clear and communicative and respects your goals and situation. Our own situation was a challenging one. We are currently living overseas and wanted to sell our place which was being rented. There was no access to beautify the property and we were limited by the presentation in the tenant's style. As we were not on the ground, we couldn't get a sense of the current market conditions, how the property was being perceived by potential buyers or even be able to suggest enhancements. David took care of everything from marketing strategy to flowers. We didn't hire David just to sell our property. We hired David to sell our property at the best possible price. And we got it! As you can imagine, trust played an important role. We trusted David every step of the way. David's ingenuity, sound strategic skills and market knowledge coupled with his tenacious buyer follow-up and refreshingly honest and open interpersonal skills, culminated in a winning situation for all of us. After 2.5 long years of house hunting and meeting 50-100 agents, David Murphy was a breath of fresh air. Unlike so many others in the industry, amongst a number of other positive attributes (priceless to a buyer in this day and age) I found him to be highly available, credible, honest, knowledgeable & willing to help, with the added bonus of being a genuinely good person. As vendors, our key considerations included experience of the area, close attention being paid to a strong digital campaign (good quality photography, coverage of the main property sites and reporting) and some hand-holding over the course of the campaign. David and Joann were fantastic on all counts from before we signed on the dotted line to engage the DMRE team, right through to securing the deposit from the purchaser.
