Joe has built a successful career on providing his clients with a high level of service by going the extra mile. Joe grew up in Toowoomba and after completing a Bachelor degree he decided to travel the world. After managing a number of Hotel groups – both internationally and domestically – he decided to return to Toowoomba where he met his wife, Laura. Together, they began renovating properties and he began his career in real estate. Joe said it was this experience which provided him with a broad understanding of the market and gave him the know-how on what was needed to become a good agent. A number of years ago, Joe developed a fundraiser called ‘Jump 4 Joy’. It is an incentive-based fundraiser where people raise money to throw someone they know out of a plane for charity. He wanted to do something a little out of the ordinary so he pitched the marketing plan to local schools and built the charity from the ground up. He never expected the event to be such a great success however it turns out that a lot of kids want to throw their teachers out of a plane. They opened the Toowoomba Show with a jump onto the Showgrounds in 2013 – where WIN news ran the story and captured the footage. Joe and Laura helped to raise over $40,000 for Community Projects Africa and the proceeds from the event went towards building a Women’s Hostel in Tanzania, East Africa. They both took one week from their honeymoon to help build the hostel. Joe describes it as one of the best experiences of his life! This year, he will be running ‘Jump 4 Joy’ once again – this time, with the proceeds going to local primary schools in Toowoomba and surrounding areas to help facilitate better education.
