I had approached Jarrad O'Rourke over a period of approximately 3 years for advice on the sale of my unit on West Coast Highway, Scarborough. I had bought the property over 30 years ago through Jarrad's late father, Rory. Rory had given me 12 hours of his time to explain why it was a good idea to invest. He did a good job because I went went ahead with the purchase and with others as well and 3 family members were persuaded to do likewise. Well, after all this time, my family and I approached Jarrad and Rory to sell our properties but were advised to hold off as the time was not right. This impressed us as it would have been so easy for the sales to proceed and O'Rourkes to make their commissions. Finally, in 2004, Jarrad sold my family's properties for what was a very good price despite other comparable properties in the area not selling for lower asking prices. I held out from selling, believing that my property was worth more. Having owned it so long, I felt I should hold out a while longer to see how things transpired. Jarrad understood my feelings and persevered to get me a price which I was happy with. Jarrad was entirely professional and made the selling process simple and stress free. But he also went out of his way to show his dedication for his clients by personally making the extra efforts for them. This was truly appreciated.
