We recently sold our family home through Mel at Harcourt Connections Caboolture. I’d like to start off by saying Mel is a genuinely lovely person—warm, approachable, and clearly passionate about realestate. Her positive attitude and friendly demeanor made our initial interactions and meeting enjoyable and comfortable, which was ultimately the reason we chose her as our agent. That said, we did experience some challenges during the process, particularly around communication. We experienced consistent instances where updates were delayed or we were left waiting days on end for message replies or phone calls to be returned, which unfortunately created some uncertainty for me as a client. It became evident that Mel may have been experiencing a sudden increase in workload, and perhaps struggling to balance a growing roster of clients. Whilst Mel has a team that work alongside her that handle the day to day, this was not made clear during our initial meeting. We incorrectly assumed that the agent we met with and signed up with would be the agent we would have during this process. While I appreciate the effort she made and understand that this industry can be demanding, I do hope she is able to improve her responsiveness and time management moving forward. With her personable nature and dedication, I believe she has the potential to provide an exceptional experience with just a bit more structure and support in place.

Upon receiving a flyer in the mail, I reached out to Melissa Brooker, the Principal at Harcourts Connections in Caboolture South. I was canvassing a few agents to sell my home, but when I met Melissa in person, I knew this was the agent for me. From the outset, Melissa demonstrated extensive knowledge of the local market, outlined a clear plan for marketing the property, and took the time to understand our requirements. I was impressed that Melissa's attention to detail captured all the elements, both internally and externally, of the house. What further impressed me was the team that assembled during open homes; no less than five Harcourts Connections team members were on site to assist potential buyers, ensuring, from the house to the pool to the shed, the buyer was not left asking questions. Whilst we received multiple offers, Melissa was of the view that, due to the high-end design features, the property was worth more. As such, after a 42-day campaign, during Cyclone Alfred and constant rainy weather, we accepted an offer. Melissa's attention to detail, constant communications flow, and expertise resulted in achieving a sale that became a record for the suburb, exceeding our expectations. Martell was extremely professional, punctual, and polite. He was very knowledgeable and just a genuinely nice person to deal with. As soon as I watched him get out of his car, I knew he was selling my house. He went beyond what I expected, contacting me daily to keep me updated.
