We moved in on 1/5 got told to pay for a water bill for a date range spanning from 17/2 to 14/5. At that point we'd only been in the rental for 2 weeks and yet no rationale provided by Emma Christie (Place Estate Agent) to date, nothing to offer rationale how they came to that conclusion other than its correct and you have to pay it. I requested a bill to be made out to us in isolation of the 2 weeks from urban utilities and nothing. It's been a nightmare with this particular agent and reflects horribly on the Place Estate agency brand. I provided Emma an entry condition report, stipulating the issues found on entry with the household facilities and amenities asking for these issues to be addressed proactively. She responds via email and goes on to say that the entry report isn't utilised for that purpose and no proactivity on her part to act as an advocate for the tenant is front of mind at all, but rather seeing it as hinderance to her workload to do that for me as the tenant. There are structural issues with the houses entry point and her response was to tell her more about what is already apparent in my report. Send someone out to check the entry way flooring for structural degradation, how hard is that to discern? Its a potential safety hazard and this is the approach she's taken. My family don't use those stairs to the front door rather they use an alternative entry due to this issue/hazard. Windows don't availably open which is another potential hazard. Its just an all round poor experience to be paying $995 per week for this type of "service" is just underwhelming to say the very least.
