Professional, communicative and honest

We met with Helen a few months before deciding to sell and knew we would be using her as our agent by the end of the meeting. She was so complimentary of our little home and understood that we were quite bamboozled by the whole selling process. Some agents could have taken advantage of our naivety, but we knew she wouldn't. At no point did she apply pressure to us to start selling, she simply let us know that she would be ready when we were and kept in touch occasionally in the mean time. The process began with her making a simple list of some touch ups that would be needed. She was in touch with the painter, handyman and stylist and kept us in the loop at all times. We work full time so her taking care of these things made all the difference in the world to us. We also strongly appreciated her recommendations on what was worth spending money on and what wasn't. It wasn't a case of us just handing over more and more money. Helen particularly excelled in working with our children, who were quite emotional at the prospect of moving. She even set up a moving box in their room and asked them to put their toys in, so that they could wake up in their new home. They loved this! When it came time for our open houses Helen always arrived early and helped us set up anything that we had missed. She let us know immediately afterwards how many groups came through and then wrote up a report on people's feedback. The day of the auction was of course nerve-wracking but we knew we were in the right hands. We got what we had hoped for and the settlement period afterwards was smooth as Helen was in regular contact with the buyers as well. I would have no hesitation in recommending Helen to anyone thinking about having her sell their property.
