We chose Matt Thompson from a cross-section of agents/agencies that we evaluated at the time, based on his knowledge of the market and of the Adamstown residential area, his obvious technical skills and his ability to communicate on our level. Also the PRD support team behind him and PRD's approach to "friendly auctions" seemed perfectly matched to our 'deceased-estate' sale. From the very start and during the lead-up to the auction Matt kept us fully informed of his numerous activities, regular web statistic reports (e.g. page hits, contacts, registrations), market trends during a period of rapid interest rate rises and property price reductions, and of nearby sales and potential buyers. We were not the easiest of clients, but he always put us at ease and gave us confidence in his strategy. Our choice proved to be an excellent one, with the final sale price falling exactly where he predicted over 3 months earlier, despite our expressed doubts. PRD's back-office operations ran smoothly both financially and legally, with no issues. We have no doubts we made the right choice in selecting Matt to be our agent and would not hesitate for one moment to do so again.

This was the first time I had sold a property so deciding on the right agent was a challenge as there are many factors to consider. Matt was one of 4 agents who initially appraised my property in Adamstown but then COVID hit which put the brakes on selling. Over COVID, Matt was the only agent who kept in regular contact, not to hassle, just to touch base. He knew I was holding off due to market uncertainty and that didn't phase him unlike most other agents who wrote me off as a timewaster. Once the house was ready, Matt prepared another appraisal, explained where the market was at and went through all the marketing options to arrive at an agreeable package.
