I first met Nic when he was selling another house in my street, and talked to him about selling my house. He came and gave a valuation, then much later in the year after I'd finally made a decision, I chose him as my agent for selling my house. Nic is always on time, professionally presented and prepared. I was impressed at the research he brought to back up the sale price, in contrast to another local agent; and his idea to arrange drone footage. He is cheery and easy to talk to, and so were the other team members I met at Wellstead. He also responds very quickly to messages. We ended up getting a great price, $100 K over asking price - within 3 days of the first (and only) home open. We actually got several offers so quickly that my family advised me to hold out - Nic then managed to persuade the buyer to increase their final bid by $20 K to ensure the sale. So it was all very quick, easy and smooth. The one thing we maybe should have done was re-discuss the house price just before it went on sale. My decision to sell was prompted by a small house fire (contained quickly, but caused damage). He did a valuation after the initial clean up, but it was several months (of decluttering, mostly - no paint or building works) before it went on the market. In the current market, house prices are rising fast - but the house was advertised with an 3-4 month old valuation ("offers from ..."). But it actually paid off, as the low price attracted huge interest (30+ groups through the one home open) and competitive bidding. I would definitely recommend Nic as an agent. At least for sellers! The process of packing and moving is not an easy one, but the sales part of it has been as smooth as it could be. He also knows Bassendean pretty well.
