My husband and I were actively trying to purchase a house in the north Brisbane area for 18 months. It was exhausting. David was everything I would expect in an agent selling a property. He upheld his duty to the seller while being upfront and honest with us as buyers. This meant that we were never lead on or given false hope. The negotiation on the property we ended up with was very stressful, but, I felt David did everything he could to mitigate our anxiety and stress. I hope that we don’t have to buy for some time as I don’t want to have to deal with another 18 month property search, but if we did, I would like to hope that we were able to purchase one of David’s properties. After 5 pre-approvals, countless inspections and I don’t want to know how many Saturdays lost… we ended up with a perfect house for us. I never thought I would say that it was worth the wait. David has been in the game long enough to know that sometimes the buyer is right in front of you at the first inspection, but there are also times when there is a lot of extra work and time ad effort required. Jon is a local to the area and knows it very well. Before sale he made himself available and was always on time, pleasant and did not pressure us. Was honest with facts, and made us feel comfortable when potentially purchasing. We had a few post auction issues with the seller and he was there to help and its all resolved. We originally chose Jon Finney as our real estate agent because Jon knows the Hendra area like the back of his hand! Jon is patient, listens, and has a “no pressure” approach to buyers. Prior to listing with Jon, I met with several local agents. What set Jon apart from the others was his presentation, honesty and communication. Being a long term local, he knew the area and appreciated the little details of my unit. During the selling process, Jon was excellent with the communication and kept me informed. As I knew, it was not a good time to sell a unit in Clayfield but Jon remained positive and persevered. The sale price was disappointing but a reflection of the current market.
