I was recently looking for a house to purchase in Canberra. Phyllis was the sales agent and was extremely accomodating and answered all my questions. Questions to which she didn’t know the immediate answer she would find out and get back to me promptly. I would highly recommend Phyllis if you are selling a property and consider yourself lucky should you be purchasing one that you are looking at. I was the highest bidder at the auction (that was run on a Saturday morning) but even my highest bid didn’t reach reserve. Phyllis was very dedicated and responsive and managed the negotiations until the contracts were signed in her office around 8:30pm on a Saturday. Obviously a very busy agent. Multiple significant errors which required following up. Poor sales positioning advice meant we only found out about the first home buyers gravity at auction. Easily lost $$$. You fill in multple forms and inform them of a view and then they put the marketing sign in the way of the view and only remove it a couple of days before auction. At settlement they still have not resolved that concern. Very poor.

As we were selling our house after 45 years in residence, we found Peter very patient in explaining the procedure for preparing for auction, and on the sale day. He definitely had great awareness of the current market and did not inflate the likely selling price for our property. Peter was always punctual and courteous in our meetings. I recently had a disappointing experience with Alexandra from Raywhite Canberra as my real estate agent. Before signing the contract, I was assured my property would sell within three weeks at a specific price, with no concerns about my property or surroundings. However, the sale took an exhausting 25 weeks and closed at 24% less than the price Alexandra had confidently promised. To add to the frustration, after agreeing to lower her commission due to the reduced price, Alexandra refused to honor this on the day of contract exchange, demanding the initial commission instead. This lack of professionalism and inaccurate expectations was deeply unsettling. It felt as though Alexandra either lacked knowledge of the demographic and market dynamics in Canberra or was inexperienced in the area. Overall, this experience left me feeling misled and dissatisfied. I wouldn't recommend her services.
