First off Lydia seems like a nice enough person, she didn't show up to one of our appointments but I can understand people make mistakes. It was her negligence in communicating with the tenants, and the harm that caused, that I find unacceptable. At the first inspection we informed Lydia that we were buying to move in. Over a month later when I went to give the notice to leave to the tenant, she had an anxiety attack in front of me and almost collapsed. It was then that I found out that the family was previously homeless. My partner also had an anxiety attack in the moments following this interaction. I found this all extremely upsetting. I have complained to Ray White Deception Bay, the response from their national relationships manager was that they had acted in accordance with the legislation and sale contract. Naturally I find this unacceptable and will continue to write about my experiences. If you are buying through Ray White please ensure that you communicate with any tenants, as the sales agents can not be relied upon to do it :(
