The sale of my Mum's villa coincided with moving her to a nursing facility in Sydney. Sadly Mum passed away less than 2 weeks after entering the nursing home. Peter and Leisa and Property Central were very compassionate and understanding about what my family were going through. As the buyer I made a final offer to Peter... in that offer I asked.. "what is the price to get it off the market".... after to talking to the owner they agreed the purchase price and advised this gets it of the market. We were happy, glad with all the other stress in our life have this completed, we agreed to that price and requested all the paperwork from his office. However they kept delaying prior to the end of Friday for the weekend & rather than conclude the deal Peter took our offer and called all the other potential people. But the offer had been made by the owner and we accepted, this was a deal, agreed and advised by Peter in a recorded message. After thinking Peter was a honest person this completely changed my mind about him, I then put him back in the place, in my mind, of all dodgy real estate agents/car salesmen and that is sad for Peter/Property Central. It changed what was otherwise a nice sale into a bad taste in our mouth and I will always remember that. In the end it was the reason that we then gave the property management to McGraths rather than Property central. If you make an offer, if that is accepted then stand by your word and honour it otherwise thats all people will remember about you.
