Over the past four years, I’ve had a lot to navigate as a first-time property owner leasing, tenants, maintenance, natural disasters that add that extra pressure and stress for alllll, and just figuring it all out as I go. It definitely hasn’t been a straight line, and there have been both highs and some challenging moments along the way. What’s made all the difference is having a property management team that I could rely on throughout it. They’ve been supportive, responsive, and patient, especially during times where things felt a little overwhelming. They’ve taken the time to communicate clearly, offer guidance, and help me make informed decisions amongst the chaos and beauty of living on this magical mountain. Had a lot of trouble marketing the property. I think some honesty in the ad would have helped as we were trying to rent a duplex, not a stand alone house and the feedback each person gave was they didn’t realise it wasn’t a stand alone house. The estimate they gave for the property was reduced to finally get a tenant. Weren’t very clear communicators in regards to showing the property early as requested, so lost a few weeks there on rent. Overall lovely people, not sure if the experience is there though? Multiple pieces of information changed throughout the process and I definitely felt confused and a little unsupported.

As a single mother competing in the highly competitive rental market, I was worried about returning to renting after 12 years of owning a home - how will I compete with others, how will I find a place that suits us as a small family and within our schooling needs? I picked up the phone and called Ray White Rural and not only did I feel seen and heard, I felt looked after. They went above and beyond for me, offering me private video call inspections when I couldn't make it to the open home due to location/work commitments, Kristy in particular chatted with me at length about the community and spent time getting to know me personally - which lead me to applying for the perfect property. Any question I had, I could simply pick up the phone, unlike other applicant experiences I had at the time. Once approved, our property manager Jess took on a major role of settling us in on Christmas Eve, the last day the office was opened, and smoothed out the transition with her prompt and clear direction. Since being under her wing, we know any issue that may arise will be addressed with confidence, fast-paced action and openness between the owner and tenant. We have had the lovely opportunity to meet the owners thanks to Jess and it further cements the feeling of community and our commitment to valuing the property and agency alike. It's safe to say I could not recommend them enough.
