For some reason we ended up interviewing seven agents (not intentionally) for the sale of the property. Between the seven you had old school, very old school, some very enthusiastic people, some very committed and full rounded salespeople. We have good word of at least 3 of these in different ways BUT David just came off the square, empty handed on the interview (as he interrupted his holidays to be able to meet us) he delivered an impressive performance which he maintained all the way through. Most certainly, if somebody is with the times, which is more than just knowing the market and knowing how to sale, it is David Walker. We may even say a bit ahead of the times too. As owner of a company advising accountants and financial planners about residential and commercial property investments, with a son working in commercial property and having sold two properties in the eastern suburbs and inner west recently, we feel we are well qualified to assess real estate agents. When we chose David he was not aware we had extensive research not available to most people and therefore we had a very good idea on market conditions and likely price range for our property. David gave us an accurate assessment of the market and value of our property and in the end achieved a price that was above our expectations. The marketing of our property was excellent resulting in around 100 inspections and eight contracts issued. David kept us very well informed through the entire process. On auction day he worked the bidders very well and advised us to announce the property 'on the market' at just the right time in the bidding process which helped to achieve a higher price. I was also very pleased (and surprised) to read in David's sales agreement that as the vendor I had the right to withdraw from the agreement with 24 hours notice which gave us confidence David would achieve the result we expected.
