Frontline people work is difficult at the best of times, let alone when attempting to mediate between two fairly discerning clients. One who is the proud owner of a new rental property and one who is obsessive/compulsive and wanting to rent that property (i.e. me). People with natural abilities to mediate and facilitate outcomes, where all parties emerge from the process feeling like winners, are rare. Lynda Pearce is one of those people. After being home owners for almost 20 years, my wife Helen and I decided to downsize our lives. In order to transition to a smaller, lower maintenance house, we realised we’d need to rent for some time while we sorted through our belongings and prepared our place for sale. Lynda was nice enough to show us through a brand new low set house that had been custom built as a rental. Modest as always, we did not realise till later, that she had also overseen its completion - mediating between builder and owner. As both my wife and I were quite nervous about transitioning back to renting, Lynda took extra time to run through current rental policies and procedures. She always made herself available to answer questions, whether by text, email or phone. Additionally, she would forward any concerns or requests we had for changes to the property directly to the owner. As a result, all parties came to an amicable arrangement in regards to the rental, and we were able to move in, just in time for Christmas 2019. We’d both highly recommend anyone wanting to develop a new rental or rent a new rental to contact Lynda in regards to options in the bayside area of Brisbane. As part of her brilliant listening skills, she remembers everything that’s brought up and follows through on finding mutually beneficial outcomes for all parties. Communication abilities not often seen in our “social media” times. Thank you Lynda for making the transition to the next stage of our lives such a positive one.
