It's easy to recommend an agent in a rising market - buyers generate demand, push prices up and seemingly make the agent's job easy to secure a great price. It's less easy to do that in the falling markets we've seen recently where only 1 in 2 properties are selling. We saw huge price drops on properties in Dulwich Hill which made the selling process hugely stressful seeing low demand and falling equity. In advance of selling I interviewed three agents, one of which was Shad. It was clear from the outset his sales experience was ahead of the others, and whilst it was useful to hear different view points I'm so glad we went with Shad. Given the market conditions, the result Shad got us was somewhat of a miracle - I do not know exactly how he does what he does, but we are very happy with the result. Also worth mentioning is Shad's team are superb and professional throughout, always there to help when we needed them. Save yourself a lot of time - just go with Shad and The Agency.

I found Shad and his team to be extremely professional. Any agent can just take your property to auction and wish for the best. In the current environment with potential buyers holding back and being cautious to even bid for fear of overpaying, I think it is best to have an agent who has good negotiating skill working for you. I think Shad is an extremely good negotiator, because he was able to extract an initial offer higher than the indicative price. While the final amount was higher I was really surprised by the the initial offer, it really hit me that this man can negotiate. For this campaign he's done a really good job.

We interviewed five agents to sell our house. All presented as pleasant and professional, so the choice was difficult. Shad, however, was the only one who answered our questions about his sales process very specifically, quoting recent sales of similar houses in the vicinity, explaining how he built and used his list of potential buyers. It was clear he had a comprehensive knowledge of the market and also a competitive drive that we felt would help our sale. These qualities were indeed exhibited in the marketing of our house. Shad is auctioneer as well as agent, which I feel helped him succeed in negotiating a higher price than the buyers had been prepared to bid initially. Shad was ably assisted by uber-efficient Terri. Whilst the selection of an agent to sell your home is a difficult at the best of times, we had the added complication of selling our home from interstate. We had met with several agents before a friend suggested we look at Shad Hassen from The Agency. Within five minutes talking to Shad we knew we were in expert hands and that we could hand over the sale of our home to him, with no doubts about achieving the best possible outcome. Shad and his team (especially his assistant Terri) were incredibly professional, capable, warm and genuine. Throughout the entire process we felt our concerns were addressed, our requirements taken on board and that the team were across all aspects of the sale. I found on Auction day that my agent didn't follow through with a auction just negotiated between two people but we were still charged full price for the auction that didn't happen. at the end of settlement it was most difficult to receive my deposit from The Agency, then had to contact my solicitor to request my deposit it was VERY late and they had the audacity to blame my solicitor. The Agency advertised a guide price on three web sites after I requested for no advertised price to be posted, also the sale price was advertised on brochures against my wishes for a letter box drop also no statement was given to us just roughly deposited into our accounts with no itemized account sent to us. I chose the Agency for over three other estate agents as they were the dearest so I thought I would receive better service but was most disappointed in there service. I wish you the best of luck if you take this agency on cause you will need it

When we decided to sell our house, only half renovated we received a lot of different opinions what to do, and what not to do. We spoke to a couple of agents and only when we met Shad, did we know that we found the right one! He was honest and straight forward and indicted the potential difficulties we may have selling a house that was not fully renovated, nor ready for a complete makeover, however at no point did he hesitate and he immediately gained our trust by his open and honest approach! The professionalism and dedication shown by Shad and his entire team at the Agency were second to none.
