My apartment was one of many for sale in the same block and although the competition was tight Shira, through sheer hard work and tenacity, managed to get me a multiple offer situation with 3 potential buyers ensuring that I got the highest possible price and in just 4 weeks. Before Shira took on my property it had been with another agent for well over a year. Shira had brought through more potential buyers in a month than the last agency had brought through in a year. She was always available to answer questions and provide me with feedback on how each inspection had gone. Shira followed up with any potential purchasers and in the case of our buyer not just until they had signed a contract but throughout our extended settlement period. Was very disappointed that I was told if I did the both houses would give me a good rate for commission. After speaking with other agents that was not a good deal that I got so will be putting my other house with another agent. After all it did sell without going into the paper. The couple pulled up and my daughter happened to be at the house and the lady wanted to buy right away and she said you would have to ring Giles and they waited an hour.

We were buyers not sellers and although every buyer would always prefer to purchase a property for the least price possible we felt that Kev was quite fair and professional in his overall dealings with us. He is of course very busy but was easily contactable via mobile phone if we needed and was flexible when we also needed him to be with many different issues that can arise with buying and selling. He was knowledgeable and I believe knows the market well and is also realistic. Being first time buyers never did we feel belittled or that we were wasting his time, unlike some agents in Cairns who we would never buy from/sell a house with. As first time buyers it was overall a positive experience and we would ask him to be our agent if we buy/sell a property again in the future.
