I had a small 3 bed villa that was in the lower 300k to 400k price range. So on the lower end of the market. I had excellent tenants in, so the place was "lived in" but a bit "tired". Courtney at Villager Property handled the rental management for me and she was fantastic. When I decided to sell Ben and his team at Villager took on the unenviable task without a moments hesitation, regardless of the market being in a slump at that time. It wasn't only the dropping market that hindered the sale, but raining weekends meant few or no lookers at all. The Easter Weekend and the end of the Financial Year also muddied the water. Keeping all of the above factors in mind, and a few others to boot, you may be able to appreciate that it took many weeks to sell my unit, but sell it Ben did. He persevered. Through the wet, tyre kickers, no attendees at all, me not taking his very sound and logical advice (for reasons of my own) and thus making his job even harder than it already was. His professionalism shone through at every level. His calm and genuinely friendly demeanour, and extensive knowledge of the market and his ability to convey that knowledge were very impressive. His assessment of the people that did attend the open houses, through his conversation with them and reading their body language was spot on. From the local sticky beak that had no intention of buying, to the interested but not ready, through to the eventual buyer were accurate every time. Ben kept me fully informed of any and all developments, and with regular Vendor, Campaign and Listing performance reports from Alissa at Villager Property Headquarters, I knew exactly what was happening, when, and why.
