Trying to sell a loss-making business, and a winery that, requires a leap of faith and considerable confidence in one's own ability. John was always certain that he could achieve a reasonably speedy and satisfactory sale of the winery and approached the commission with huge optimism and high expectations. However unlikely some of the prospective buyers might have appeared he treated them all with total professionalism and was not daunted by the occasional disappointment along the way. At no stage did he try to take the easy way out by recommending me to accept a lower price and never wanted for enthusiasm in his quest for the best outcome for me. Certainly the wide network of contacts that he has access to via his associate in Sydney was vital in giving the property maximum exposure and I don't imagine any other agent In Narooma has such a resource at hand.
