In late October 2016 I presented Sam with a difficult assignment. I wanted to sell an apartment in a high rise city fringe development, one of the few segments of the market that is not experiencing record prices. In fact an oversupply of product and with more being built has resulted in falling values. Marketing my property was challenging with little to differentiate the more than 20 for sale at the same time in the building, many of which had been on the market for months. Just getting people interested enough to look at the property was difficult let alone finding a genuine buyer. Sam was confident that with the right approach we would find a buyer. Even though the sale would only deliver a modest fee (I'm sure he would have preferred working on more lucrative assignments) from day 1 he somehow attracted a continual stream of parties through the property. It took almost 6 months before a genuine buyer emerged. Sam was quick to engage him, close the deal and secure the sale. 6 months, one buyer, sold! And in this competitive city apartment market Sam achieved a solid price. I found Sam to be creative, tenacious, persistent, responsive and results driven.
