Taking the time to at least send a quick text just to let you know what is happening. If it is more important, then yes he will call you. In our case there was times we had gotten information from the lawyer, that Adam didn't know about. I would call and let him know, he would appreciate the fact he was kept in the loop. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to buy or sell a property.
