For months before listing my property with Harcourts I was unsure which of two agents I should choose but when decision time came I reminded myself that Andrew had been the one that kept in regular contact and had impressed with his track record and understanding of the market in my area. Having made the decision and deciding to go to Auction with Andrew's judgement backing up my own feeling that was the most likely chance for the best outcome, Unfortunately, only days before the Auction, news that yet another interest rate rise was very much on the cards in the very short term and the fear of that was played out and the property had to be passed in on auction day. Undaunted, Andrew and his sales & office staff worked tirelessly with highest bidders and new interested parties to secure a result which was down on expectations but I was perfectly happy to accept. Overall, I can only say that my sale coincided with a slight dip in buyer confidence due to the fear of further interest rate rises which did eventuate but all through the process I was informed by Andrew of the market sentiment and regardless of well founded estimates, in the end the old saying that the property is only worth what people are prepared to pay at the time came true. My recommendation would be that Andrew Chrysanthou and his team are a very professional outfit with a mantra to do the very best they can for their clients.
