We found Andrew to be reliable, honest and trustworthy agent when selling our home up until the time the contract was signed. We then felt he didn't feel he was responsible for deposit collection and miss informed us when asked was the deposit paid. We also feel Andrew would have been comfortable with selling the property at a lower price more than $10,000 lower than the actual selling price. The agent failed in receiving of deposits which resulted in an after auction contract being lost. The home had to be re-advertised when another purchaser was found again the deposit wasn't fully paid as per contract. We the sellers followed up with Andrew three times and the deposit still was not fully paid until another agent took over (seemed like Andrew had lost interest) and the purchasers were advised legally that they were in default for not paying deposit as required on the contract. The purchasers fully paid the deposit two weeks before settlement. In essence the house was sold twice because deposits were not received properly. When we followed up with the second agent we were told that Agents are not debt collectors, no they are not, but they are the receiving point of deposits. We have bought and sold previously with other agents and never had these issues. What do you think?
