This is the first time we (my wife Trish and myself) have sold a property by auction, so we did not know what to expect. Ben met with us on several occasions to 'talk us through' the process and we appreciate his detailed explanation -- he answered all of our questions. There were a few mix ups regarding the scheduling of open house dates and some miss-communication with his office regarding our payment of the marketing costs. I do not believe this involved Ben, but resulted from a misunderstanding with his staff. As a result, the 'for sale - auction' sign was installed just in time for the first showing. From there, everything seemed to work as per the scheduled plan; all of the open house dates were successful. Feedback from the open house sessions was good. It's difficult for us to assess the amount of interest that an auction should generate (i.e. not having gone through the process before). In the end (i.e. auction date) there were interested buyers and the house was sold for an amount above our original expectations. We thank Ben for his efforts on auction day to get the best result on our behalf.
