There were some strange happenings such as mystery buyers who supposedly came to open homes and pretended to show interest but went very quiet. There was a man who had an office in Hobart and needed accomodation for staff, a couple from the Huon who wanted a city pad, a mystery investor from interstate who had supposedly just missed out on another apartment, and a lady from Deloraine who drove to Hobart just to look at my apartment and then said it didn't get sunshine. Then the purchaser showed genuine interest and Ben included my washing machine and dryer in the package without asking me to get approval. But what really gave me a big level of disappointment was when I was "pumping up the tyres" making grounds for a better price after a lowish offer was tabled - eg 2 carparks, top floor with just 2 neighbours, protection from the heat and closeness to the outdoor garden setting. But Ben said "he doesn't want to spend much money" - Crikey it is Ben's place to make him spend money !!!! By the way, my name is spelt with a double "t" at the end, and I made a sale not a purchase. So your 5 requests for feedback were all wrong !!!!

Ben was recommended by a family friend and prior colleague in the industry. He was extremely responsive in returning my initial enquiry and setting up a review at the property. At that time, his clarity explaining the market, including examples of comparable sales both with Harcourt's and other agencies, gave me an honest expectation of the sales process and I was confident to sign a sales contract at that same meeting. Assistance with a tradesperson to rapidly address some cosmetic needs and a stylist to provide ambience, made the sale extremely rapid and fuss-free, achieving the listing price within days. Ben's communication was always prompt and personable. I felt him balanced for both vendor's and purchaser's interests. I would highly recommend him to future clients.
Could not recommend Ben more highly. We met Ben whilst he was acting as the agent for the house we were purchasing. Out of convenience more than anything, we chose to bring in Ben for the sale of our house. We couldn't be happier with that decision. Throughout a complex sale process with 3 sale contracts all dependent on each other and a few hiccups with potential buyers pulling out for very unexpected reasons, Ben worked tirelessly to get the best result and keep it all under control and stress free for us. He was very receptive to our wishes and had excellent communication throughout. I know its a small thing but as an example of how receptive he was to our wishes, I made a off-hand comment to him when we first met that I really disliked talking to people on the phone whilst they were driving. I realised later on that every time I spoke to Ben after that conversation, he had pulled over before calling me. Again, a small thing, but for me that demonstrated the sort of operator/guy Ben is and I really appreciated it. Obviously Ben knows his stuff in terms of real estate and he managed to get us a great sale exceeding our expectations but more than that, if you bring him in, you can be assured that you have a real and good person working on your behalf.
