Once the offer had been accepted (subject to finance). I was kept informed by my agent on all things that could have held up the sale. But was disappointed with a couple of things. 1. A week after the offer was accepted, I rang my agent to follow up on the buyer’s finance approval and I was informed at that point that the buyer was interest in my furniture in the house. I later found out that the buyers had raised interest in my furniture a week earlier. This would have been great to know about earlier as I could have left the furniture in the house instead of moving it out…… 2. Phone call from my agent congratulating me that the buyers finance had been approved and I had sold my house. The buyer would like to settle earlier then stated on the offer, but my agent could not tell me a date or clarify what was written on the offer (settlement to be 14 days or 14 business days after finance approved). Wouldn’t you know this or have an idea of a date before ringing to congratulate me on selling my house? A text message was sent to me later that day with the settlement date as written in the offer (14 days after finance approved). Not earlier as requested by the buyer. 3. A week before the settlement date the buyer (as I live in a small country town was able to contact me through a mutual friend) informed me that they had asked to move the settlement day earlier and heard nothing back. I rang my Conveyancer (5 min Call) and was able to bring the settlement day 4 days earlier making the buyer very delighted. I think a lot of the above examples came about because two real estate agents from different companies were involved in the sale and the sale had not just gone through my agent. It felt like the right hand wasn’t talking to the left hand between both agents. This is my first time selling a house and have learnt a lot of things. I also know that I could have chased up my agent about the above examples more but isn’t that what you commission for?
Team Mitch and the extremely efficient TECODA were on the ball from the get go. I contacted Mitch on Wednesday 8th June regarding a property, but was in a meeting. Tecoda responded and got stuck right into assist and we inspected the property the very next morning. We put our offer in that day. I was really excited and nervous as there were quite a few others interested. I spoke to Tecoda several times over that day and the next, but she kept reassuring me. Friday evening I got the call saying our offer was accepted. Paperwork was all sorted out and We were fortunate enough to gain early entry 10 days later... and settlement finalized a week later. All up, it took exactly 4 weeks... Fantastic job and thankyou very much TECODA for all your help. Well done Mitch for guiding Tecoda. She will do very well under your umbrella.
