Fundraising for the community is also a priority for Carla who was the Director of The Helen Hackett Foundation 2005 – 2010 and lead a small committee of friends to raise over $550,000 in 4 years to purchase Digital Mammography units for the Wesley Breast Clinic in memory of her best friend Helen Hackett who passed away from Breast Cancer in 2005.
Carla is a proud ambassador for Mummy's Wish Charity which delivers immediate, practical assistance to Mums going through their Cancer journey. Carla has raised over $500,000 for the charity over the past 5 years through an annual lunch named ‘Big Mumma's Italian Feast’.
Carla also launched Santa’s Little Helpers Brisbane where she rallies the community to fulfil a wish list for an under privileged child in the Logan/Ipswich/Redlands areas. Since Xmas 2016 they have fulfilled over 1700 wish lists (average value of $200 per child) over 4 years.
On top of all of this, Carla is also a major sponsor of the Morningside Panther's Senior AFL women’s team.
