A great outcome from an agent we have only met over the phone
We are Sydney investors and we wanted to sell our 10-year old house in Orange. We asked friends who live locally to recommend three potential estate agents. We asked for written proposals for all three. One was a link to an auto proposal we could view on our phone. The only customisation was the address and the price. The second proposal wasn’t written; it was delivered verbally over the phone. However, Chris Tyack provided a full written proposal, customised to our needs. The deciding factor? The proposal? No, the contents. Chris had done his due diligence and looked at recent sales nearby and his price estimate came in at more than $100K than the other two. We went with Chris.
Chris didn’t try to sell us on costly styling. He knew that the configuration of our property was the main selling feature and he had clients who were interested before the marketing came onto the market. While other agents were pushing for vacant possession, Chris was willing to work with us and our tenant to sell the property tenanted. It saved us months which allowed us to buy a replacement property in Sydney while the interest rates were still attractive.
Chris went the extra distance for us. He organised for the long-neglected garden to be re-turfed. He used his own power washer to brighten up the front stoop. He even did an extra clean before each showing.
The result? Chris came within $5K of his estimate, yielding more than $100K in excess of our expectations. The tenant is moving on to make way for the new owner but everyone feels well treated.
We are happy to recommend Chris Tyack to sell your home. And, we’re doing that never having met the man in person.
