If you have a property to sell, then do yourself a favour and call Craig. He sold our property within 2 days, and for higher than the asking price. This was due to knowing the market, and having buyers lined up for this type of property. Craig is professional, friendly and not at all pushy as some sales people are; when he first gave us the contract for sale he was quick to reassure us that there was no pressure and the decision rested with us at all times. We chose Craig based on reputation and our investment property was already being managed by David Deane so we thought the process would be easier staying with the same agency. We obtained details from four agents, 3 were in the area of our property and we found that Craig over valued the property compared to the other agents so we feel that his knowledge of the area may have been lacking. We did not decide on Craig based on his valuation because we had researched the property value lower, Craig also charges a higher commission than all of the other agents we spoke to so we were basing our choice on reputation as well as real estate awards and expected much more. We received three phone calls within two weeks and each time we were asked asked if we would like to drop the price again and agreed each time until we finally decided that we had made a mistake in selecting a agent not in the immediate area of our property. We received emailed weekly online reports regarding internet viewing which also included details for a few days prior to signing the contract or listing on the internet which we found very strange so we did not consider future reports to be accurate. Craig needs to take into consideration keeping in touch with his clients a lot better than he does as this was lacking considerably other than calls he made to reduce the price and the final negotiating which was better. I’m sorry to say that after selling one of our investment property’s we will be looking at a different agency to sell the rest on our behalf.
