After completing local schooling, Derek chose to undertake a career as a Marine Technician within the Royal Australian Navy; which spanned over 5 years. Over this time, his relationship grew stronger with childhood sweetheart, and now Fiancé, Melissa, they began a family. He knew at this stage, it was time to take his career back home, to the Mornington Peninsula.
Growing up in Frankston South has lead Derek to a vast and detailed understanding of the area; not to mention a life-long love and passion for his childhood neighbourhood. Coupled with his drive, passion and enthusiasm for quality service, Derek new that Real Estate was a career path he had to follow. Hence in 2006, he joined the industry.

Beyond real estate, Derek enjoys spending quality time with his Fiancé Melissa, daughter Madeleine and son Nathanial. He especially loves getting outdoors and into nature’s finest; camping and four-wheel driving.
