I bought the unit from Ed a few years ago and the professional service I got from Biggin and Scott during my ownership period meant that I didn't consider another agent when the time came to sell. Compared to the agent experience I had when I last sold a property where the individual agent was both incompetent and unctuous, this was a whole lot better. The whole process seemed to run like clockwork and at no point did I feel pressured into a particular course of action. This manifested itself in the sales result which was ahead of my wife and I's expectations. Good job all round.
I have both purchased and sold property through Edward and have found him and the team at Biggin Scott Richmond to be honest, fair and respectful at all times during both transactions as both a buyer and more recently selling via auction. Sometimes the real estate profession has a poor reputation with some agents being pushy and acting dishonestly, I am happy to say that I have experienced none of these behaviours with my interactions with the team and found that at all times the options were presented to me honestly and I was supported through the decision making process. I got a good result and so overall was happy. Edward was pleasant to deal with as were the others from B&G. A few learners from my experience: 1) agents can quote a high expected sale price to win your biz and then spend the next few months talking that price down. Let them know you won't sell below that price no matter what. 2) use a furnishing stylist as it makes a huge difference but don't feel you have to go with the one your agent recommends. There are better deals out there 3) spend money painting and fixing the garden 4) spend money on advertising but no need to go over the top 5) negotiate the commission. I don't see why it shouldn't be a flat fee rather than a percentage but given that's the case for most agents, negotiate!
