Ian knows the market well and doesn't put any pressure on the vendors. We tried to sell off market for a few months which Ian was fine with, with multiple inspections through his word out mouth only. He didn't pressure us to put it on the market formally until we were ready, with the property selling a few days after our first open for inspection. Very good agent who we couldn't recommend more highly.

Ian was very knowledgeable about the area and the current market, he also simplified the selling process for us as it was our first time selling a property. He also has done numerous calls backs after we sold to see how our new purchase search was going and was always offering assistance where he could.

At the recommendation of my Lawyer, and to satisfy the interest of other parties involved, I sought appraisals and and interview with 3 local agents for the sale of my late Mother's, (and my childhood) home. Ian stood out for local knowledge, practical advice for preparing the property, detailed advice on the sales process and realistic expectations of value. He supplied an information package that showed a high level of organisation and targeted preparation. I looked at sales results in the Belmont area on this and other real estate websites, and his volume and recorded feedback was impressive. Out of interest, the others? One seemed really nice and genuine, but his estimations of value seemed unrealistic and he was red-hot for an auction, the other was probably even keener than Ian, and very helpful, but not anywhere near as organised. After selection Ian and his assistant communicated well and kept the work up with advice and timely assistance on preparing the property for sale and the timing of the sales campaign in relation to such efforts. I was making all these preparations from a 2 hour drive away, and it had to fit around other responsibilities. There was an organised system of reporting of progress of the campaign in place, but it was not necessary! Read on! An offer within our expected range was received on the first open day, and despite the offer not rewarding Ian with the commission yields he could have expected from a higher offer, (which was possible, but not required by us), I received practical and useful advice to accept the offer. Property sold so quick I had to delay settlement to finish an overseas holiday. The good advice and offers of assistance continued until settlement. Thanks Ian and Sarah!
