We all think we are going to be able to sell our home for the highest price and in the quickest possible time, sure. We met with several agents and heard the sales pitches. To be fair they all seemed very professional. James and Jack from Murdoch Lee are well known in Castle Hill and so we chose to give them a go. We set a realistic price, a lot below when the market was at its peak a year ago and we were all relatively confident. Nine months later our patience with the slow market was being tested but James and Jack continued to work hard and keep us well advised of what was occurring. The market was very slow, it still is and probably will be for some time. We moved on our original price but not by much and James continued to work hard, I suppose many others would have thrown the towel in. In the end, we found a suitable buyer and they now have a wonderful home. James and Jack to their credit worked hard for nearly ten months to secure the sale. We had offers from other agents to change and restart the sale process but decided to stick with James and in the end, it was the right decision. James is trustworthy and we had no issues throughout the sale process. James called on us once a year for 5 years. Now that’s the kind of perseverance we liked. For the 6 months prior to putting our house on the market he gave us advice on how to prepare and present it - from door handles to kitchen cabinet colours and a few other things in between.
