The agent was helpful during the initial stages of the purchase, including showing the property and attending to most of our queries prior to settlement. Communication before settlement was generally satisfactory. However, after settlement, several requests were not followed up properly, which was disappointing. We also felt pressured to repeatedly increase our offer to compete with an unseen buyer, and not all of our requests and concerns were clearly relayed to the vendors as we had asked. At times, it felt like the agent was acting more in the vendor’s interest rather than as a mediator between both parties, which made the process less comfortable for us as buyers. Overall, the experience was okay, but we were not fully satisfied due to gaps in post-settlement support, communication, and balance in representation. There is room for improvement in handling buyer concerns more thoroughly and impartially.
