Whilst the sale process took longer than expected Kieron stuck to the task and we got there in the end. Both Kieron and Ben were good to work with.

I appointed Kieron to undertake the sale mainly as my property was managed through Barry Plant. The decision to appoint was not made on price as his fees and charges were comparable with 2 other agents I sought proposals from. The decision was based on the expectation that - as an interstate owner - the sales team would be closely liaising with the property management team throughout he sale. This was to ensure that the tenant was managed appropriately and that the transaction was executed smoothly (as I did not have the time to be involved). He and his team kept me well informed of prospective purchasers and to manage expectations. Kieron also showed a high degree of energy to secure the mandate which suggested he would apply this through the sale. We agreed a commission that gave him a reasonable performance target to overachieve the agreed reserve price. The sale price achieved (in mid-winter in Geelong) was 16% above the reserve. The reserve was set at a reasonable level consistent with guidance from all 3 agents that quoted on the property. There appeared to be a slight glitch when approaching settlement in communication between the sales team and the management team regarding the exit of the tenant but Kieron ensured this was addressed and the transaction went through smoothly. I would recommend Kieron based on the result achieved and would use Barry Plant again in the event I am selling a property in the area.

we went with Keiron because he had sold our daughters property with a good result. We always new we had a great property, but Keiron gave us good directions for the timing of our sale. He knows the area extremely well and we weren't surprised when he said he might have somebody interested in our house before we even advertised. After a second viewing the negotiations started and after one day we accepted an offer that was at the top end of our range.
