What Lee did well: 1. Understood very quickly that the best and effective way to communicate with us was via text; 2. Was very forthcoming with information when requested; What Lee/LJ Hooker can do better: 1. Get all the paperwork done right the first time around rather than leave it to the buyer to check for mistakes. There were repeated mistakes that had to be corrected multiple times; 2. Be transparent and prepared with all the necessary information such as: bodcorp, leasing, keys etc.; 3. Be proactive and share the information with serious buyers ahead of time; 4. Every time we've bought properties, the agents usually drop off a goodie bag, that has not happened this time around - this gives the buyer a feeling that the sale was merely transactional and there was no going the extra mile; 5. We were tracking the property on realestate.com.au - there were no updates posted on the listing through the stages of the purchase - e.g. "under contract" or "unconditional" etc.
