This was a challenging campaign. We entered the market off the back of a very buoyant 3-4 weeks of house sales in Sydney. Maria and her team did a terrific job getting the campaign up and running in a short period of time and the marketing collateral and photos were superb. The first open house was a thorough success with plenty of interest generated - then came the lockdown and ban on open houses. Without doubt the pandemic saw the rise of the opportunists and Maria did a good job of sorting out the realistic and motivated buyers who were genuinely looking for a place to call home. I've always felt anyone can sell a house in Sydney when the market is hot and, to date, there hasn't been a book written on selling a house in a global pandemic (or not that I know of anyway) and this was always going to be a real test for Maria and her team - and for the real estate industry in general. This was never going to be a "present the house and let the games begin" type of campaign. The market went from "hot" to "not". This is when you need an agent with a level head - for the vendor and the buyer. Maria was this agent. We have purchased and sold a lot of houses and I'm wary of making comparisons to past campaigns as the selling environment was unprecedented. Ultimately, Maria and her team got the job done despite the challenges presented by COVID 19. They say never go to sea with a fair weather sailor - you just don't know what conditions you may sail into. The same can be said of a real estate campaign. To this end, if you want an agent who can perform in all market conditions - Maria is your agent.
