What do all these positive reviews for Mark have in common? They are all from vendors! Let me give you a buyer’s perspective (however vendors should also take note). Barry Plant features prominent measurements of the land size in their adverts – it turns out that this can easily be confirmed, for example, by checking the land size with the Victorian Land data service. Our family recently bought a house sold by Mark, unfortunately we believed the adverts and assurance as to the land size and development opportunities. In fact, the actual land size was a whopping 100 SQM smaller than we had been told and as first home buyers unfortunately we were caught out at auction. How is it that an agent of 17 years’ experience cannot tell the difference of almost 20% in land size?! Sellers agents of course want to get the best price for the vendor, but this has to be based on the accurate material facts of the property as stated in the adverts. Buyers and sellers please take note of our experience, a good sales pitch alone is not enough!
