We asked Michael to sell our home which was located outside his normal selling area, so it was a good test for this bright young and entusiastic man. He successfully engaged with Blackshaw senior colleagues to determine the market, however as a team they significantly over-estimated the projected sale price in relation to the amount finally agreed on the auction day. Michael's communication with us was excellent and the Blackshaws team did extremely well in publicizing the property leading up to the auction. It was unfortunate there was only one bidder on the day, for reasons not understood. However, while the sale price was below expectations, Michael and his team did produce a satisfactory outcome which was a record for the suburb. That price was negotiated mainly by Michael's agency principal, as was expected by us, so a little difficult to judge Michael's contribution in negotiations. I would use Michael again.
Michael's passion for real estate was evident from the moment we met him at an open house. When it came time to sell our own home, Michael was our first choice. Throughout the campaign, Michael's communication was first class and his enthusiasm and down to earth nature was greatly appreciated. We wouldn't hesitate to use Michael on future sales!
Being a first time seller, I found the whole process depressing and exhausting and at times hard to understand. However Michael was a very patient and supportive agent and appeared to work very hard re advertising, exhibitions and keeping up moral.

When it came time to sell our house we selected Michael because he gave the highest appraisal on our property, and the most competitive marketing and commission rates. Michael made the whole process of selling, from preparing the property for market, the marketing and auction day as easy as can be. In the end Michael achieved a price for our property which was well beyond our expectations ($41,000 over our reserve!). This result is a testament to Michael's communication skills and hard work throughout the marketing campaign. I cannot recommend Michael more highly if you are selling your house. He is the complete package.
