Having bought our home from Michael over 4 years ago, he consistently kept in touch via emails and Christmas cards etc. We felt this level of customer service went 'above and beyond' and therefore only ever considered one agent to sell our property when the time was right. Our experience of the selling process did not match our high expectations. We found communication sometimes slow particularly given the tight timeframe for the sale of our property. Maybe I expected too much but I expected communication to be initiated by the agent rather than myself phoning/emailing and waiting for call backs or return emails (sometimes this did not happen on the same day). For the open homes the agents were rarely at the property before potential buyers, who were often waiting outside. The agent never arrived more than 5 minutes before the open home was due to commence. I also feel that the sale of our property went through due mainly to a really tight timeframe and our 'need to sell' which forced us into accepting a lower price that if we had more time to spare. Once the home was sold (unconditional) all communication stopped. On the day of settlement I had to contact the agent to see when they would like the keys to the property to give to the buyer. It seemed that they were not even aware that they didn't have the keys. The level of service we got from the agent who we were buying from far exceeded our selling agent. Any problems we encountered either selling our property or buying the new home (and we had a fair few!) were always dealt with (advice etc) by the agent who we were buying from. Perhaps this is the case that agents in general look after the buyers more than the sellers, I just don't know.

Having being subscribed to Michaels Spillane's newsletters over the past 2 years, we were very definite about using his services when it came time to sell our home (but we didn't tell him that at first)! This was the seventh home that we have sold and was looking forward to comparing what he had to offer to our past experiences. The Michael Spillane team went above and beyond to make my first experience selling a house a great one!! The whole team was approachable, friendly, and knowledgeable! As the sale of my home was the result of a divorce it could have been a very difficult time, but Michael and the team made it easy, and were more than willing to be the go between with myself and my ex spouse, meaning that I didn't have to deal with him at all. Firstly we received a very detailed market appraisal and the marketing of our home was equally impressive.
