Rex began a new career in real estate in July 2008 after nearly 40 years in the automotive industry at Chrysler & Mitsubishi Motors where he held various senior positions and in the last 10 years as a General Manager in Sales & Marketing and Export. In June 2002 Rex was awarded an AM as a Member of the Order of Australia for his contribution to the community, particularly youth, as President of Scouts Australia SA Branch, Chairman of Woodcroft College and board member of World Vision Australia and to the automotive industry.
Their interest in farming led Rex and his wife, Norma, to Strathalbyn in 2003 to purchase acreage for breeding Alpaca & Wiltipoll sheep. Rex continues his community involvement as Chairman of CLASS (Community Living & Support Services) board, as a Governor of the Coopers Brewery Foundation and Vice Chairman of the board of The Bible Society of SA.
Rex is a qualified real estate consultant and auctioneer and holds a Certificate IV in Property, a Diploma of Property and is a member of the Real Estate Institute of SA and the Society of Auctioneers and Appraisers (SA) Incorporated.
His many years of experience in negotiation in business both in Australia and overseas prior to coming to the real estate industry are a skill which is at the disposal of his vendors giving them assurance that they will receive the best price possible in selling their home.
