In real estate in Australia, the agent represents the seller. In my purchase of a property in Port Douglas this probably was the case. Yet I dealt with Ritsuko who arranged for me to see about 9 other properties but it was the first one to which I returned and eventually bought, with a reduction in sales price. Could I have paid lower? Perhaps, but not by much. It was afterwards that Ritsuko showed how good service could occur in regular communication with me, and dealing with lawyers and the seller in order to sort out the eventual purchase. Though there was a cuffuffal over a couple of items on the property inventory, these were sorted out promptly through proper communication, even though at the time of settlement Ritsuko was on the other side of the world in a quite different time zone. It was quite fortuitous to be able to liaise, negotiate and deal with and through Ritsuko and people in her firm, Ray White Four Mile in Port Douglas.
