As a long time resident and licensed real estate agent in Mount Isa, building and selling homes is in my blood. With a background in building, then managing and now selling homes, there’s no better agent than me to represent your property sale. As the daughter of a Mount Isa builder and building inspector, I’ve been walking around local homes ever since the early 1980s. Floor plans and house designs are second nature to me. Being surrounded by (and working in) my father’s building business gave me an eye for detail and interior decorating, as well as how to add value when building or renovating properties. That practical knowledge is extremely valuable to me now as a Mount Isa real estate agent. You simply can’t understand Mount Isa real estate overnight. But real estate is just as much a people business as it is a property knowledge business. My people skills were honed in a variety of frontline Mount Isa customer service roles, including retail, coffee shop, bar and property management work before I became a licensed real estate agent. Getting out and meeting people comes naturally to me, and I have a broad network. Matching both local and out-of-town buyers with the right Mount Isa properties is where I excel and how I get the best results for all my home-selling clients. Residential Mount Isa properties are my sole focus at Jays Real Estate, and I don’t mind working outside of normal working hours to show potential buyers my clients’ homes. Having begun my real estate career in property management, I understand the needs of investment property sellers and buyers, which is important as almost half of Mount Isa homes have landlords.
