We engaged Shane to sell our property after he appraised the value at over 700k and advised us to go to auction. It was apparent very early that this value was never achievable and his so called expert market knowledge should have known this. We spent the next 3 months chasing the market down and finally sold for 600k a loss on initial purchase of 138k in 2 years. The fair thing he should have done was offer us a reduction in his rather high fees for such a poor performance. Don’t fall for all the bulls#it, do your own research on values and don’t be pushed into extra marketing costs.
