Shane is a very enthusiastic and energetic individual. He has great sales skills along with knowledge of the real estate market in Canberra. He is a good listener, and would always give an honest opinion about seller/buyer’s expectations!! He made the whole process of selling our house as smooth as it could be!! We didn’t have to worry about anything after the day we signed the contract with him to sell our house and gave him the keys to the house. Shane was brilliant. Both my partner and I have enjoyed dealing with him throughout the process of buying our home. What we liked about Shane was that he was open and honest throughout the whole process - unlike many other real estate agents we dealt with (over the two months of searching for a home) who were very secretive when it came to talking about price/interest/reserve/condition of the house. Shane remained in contact from when we walked in the door at the first inspection all the way up until the auction. He gave us a strong guess at what price range he thought it would go for and what the reserve was expected to be set at due to the interest in the house. My only criticism of Shane is that he did not get back to us regarding extending the settlement period. Shane rang us three days prior to the auction to give us an update regarding the property and what the interest was looking like at that point. We told him that we were looking to extend the settlement period and after the phone call I followed up with a text. We did not receive a response confirming that Shane received the text/would chase up our query. In the end it was not a problem - we got the settlement period we wanted! Shane was very welcoming to everyone at the inspections, making sure he had time with each person who walked through the door and giving them a great overview of the house. He was very easy to talk to and it was obvious he had done his research of the house, the suburb and the current market. We have exchanged contracts with the sellers but are yet to do pre-settlement inspections, valuations and settlement - we will update this review after we complete the whole process however i suspect there will be no change!
